Most definitely in music theory and with reference to equal temperament NOT the way to tune your guitar. This leads to a tuning that does not sound good across the board. A harmonic is NOT always in the same location as the fretted note. This presenter has unfortunately shown how little he knows.

Try the d7 the Merle did it. It’s stretchier but sounds better. And don’t hold it so long. The melody moves past the d7. You have the basics down. Articulate more some of the notes you are not. Listen to the recording with a critical ear. You’re almost there.

When my dog and cat passed on, my heart was totally and utterly shattered, and in some ways it was even harder than losing a relative, because with my dog and my cat, it was only myself that could feel the pain and it was really not 'shared', if you know what I mean. Good lesson, but still you gotta have one ground truth...meaning at least one string should be in tune and then you can tune the other strings with respect to this string, at least thats what makes sense to me

Now, that an absolute top advice👍. Never owned a guitar all my life. Used to watch my friend play beautiful guitar. Finally at 60+ got my first guitar and started learning. I did feel under pressure, being incapable, having started too late etc.. but after playing ten minutes every day, I am enjoying different cords, licks, although very rusty. Anyways, keep playing and one day you will play beautiful music 🎵🎶
